As stated in The Wizard press kit; The first two weeks of locations included the rural Nevada cities of Minden, Garderville, Fallon, Hazen and Dayton, and later Lake Tahoe. Filming resumed for two weeks in and around the Reno area, including such locations as the Bally's Casino, the Peppermill and Riverboat casinos and Pyramid Lake. The final weeks of filming took place at various rural Southern California locations, including Acton, Valencia and Palm Desert.
